Well, hi everyone. I'm kinda new to this whole blogging thing, so yer gonna have to bare with me for a bit. After traveling for so long, having no home or no identity, I feel like nows the time to beginning recording stuff. If I don't remember this, no one else's gonna. If there's even anyone left by the time we finally settle down. Or maybe the hunger will take us first...
Ah, well. Gotta just keep moving. Yeah, moving, that's what we gotta do.
Wait, I haven't even introduced myself yet, have I?
My name's Ma Joad. (I do got a real name, but heck I don't know who'll be reading this thing, and I'd rather stay anonymous if I please). I've got a mighty big family--though it seems to be getting smaller with each passing town. We're just going from place to place, trying to find the right place.
I'm starting to doubt that there'll ever be a right place.
No food. Too many people. No shelter. That's what life's become.
Gotta keep moving. Gotta start documenting. Gotta remember things.
